Warm Story

״I'm Omer, a 19-year-old IDF soldier in a combat unit. Like most soldiers in the army, I unfortunately do not have a lot of money.

I got off the train in Nahariya to do some errands, and I saw a coffee shop/bakery called "Tricolad" (טריקולד) on HaGaton Street 21, with some pastries calling to me from their window. I went in, picked out some pastries that looked good to me, went to pay and realized I didn't have my wallet. I apologized for the situation and asked to leave my big army bag there while I ran to the station to look for my wallet.

After half an hour of searching, and asking the people at the station, I found my wallet in a bag emptied of all money (I had around 300 shekels in there before).

I returned to the bakery low and confused. They asked me if I found my wallet and I told them I did, but emptied of all money. I apologized and told them I had no way to pay for the pastries. They insisted that I take the bag of pastries (in which they put even more treats). I thanked them and I put the bag in my big army bag. They smiled back at me.

After half an hour, I took out the bag of snacks and suddenly I saw
$200 in my bag
It's important for me to share this for two reasons:
1. People who run a business like this deserve kindness and also people should know where to buy bakery goods when they come to Nahariya.
2. Good deeds like this which are done when no one's looking should be really appreciated.

And here I am saying thanks again to Tricolad, who reminded me of why I do what I do (serving in the IDF)."
